Where to find a new product key in Windows 10 PC that comes with Office?

Microsoft Office is a suite of applications, servers and services that is being used by almost all the computer users across the world. Its applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and more allows the users do a number of tasks without using any third-party application. You can purchase any Office version online as well as offline. To buy it online, you need to visit Microsoft website. However, in case of offline, you can buy it from a retail store. Once purchased, it needs to be downloaded, installed and activated on a device.

For activation, you need a product key. Now the question here is where to find this key? In Offline purchase, the key can be redeemed from the back of the CD; and in case of online purchase, you can redeem it from your registered email ID. If you don’t activate your Office subscription, you will not be able to access all its features. So, once you download and install your Office product, make sure you redeem and enter the correct Office product key.

To make it easy for its customers, Microsoft has started to provide Office as a part of its Windows operating system. In this case, one needs to find the right Office product key to activate it and then access all the features of its applications. Finding this key is not a tough job; all you need to do is follow these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Office and you will see a get started screen with three options, i.e. buy, try and activate
  2. The option try is for those who want to try Office product’s free one-month trial
  3. In this case, you won’t require any product key and the trial will get activated
  4. However, it will keep on sending the notifications for its purchase and then activation in order to access all Office services, applications and servers
  5. If you want to have access over all Office applications, then go for Buy and purchase the installed Office subscription on your Windows device
  6. Upon clicking on Buy, you will be prompted a screen where you can click Buy Office and proceed further
  7. When you pay for the Office subscription on your Windows 10 PC, a digital product key will be sent to your registered email ID and you can activate it by entering the key in the required field
  8. Now, you will see a screen with Activate option
  9. Click on it
  10. It’s good to go!

Search for words in your images in Microsoft Office 365

Unlock content inside of images easily with this new search capability in Office 365.

Earlier this year, we rolled out automatic detection of images that are uploaded to SharePoint and OneDrive. This intelligence identifies whether an image is a whiteboard, a receipt, outdoors, a business card, an X-ray and many other types. You can then search for ‘whiteboard’ and you’ll see all the whiteboard photos you’ve captured and uploaded.

Presently, as we reported at Ignite, any printed words in a picture are naturally identified, separated and made accessible. Utilizing PC vision innovation, when you transfer the picture, the area information (if accessible) from a photo, (for example, Oslo, Norway), and the distinguishing proof and extraction of content will happen naturally and wind up plainly accessible. You can look in SharePoint, OneDrive or Office.com to discover your catches.

Use visual content intelligence to simplify your work life

Many people complete expense reports for travel. While at a restaurant, snap a photo of the receipt. You can do this directly from the OneDrive mobile app, Office Lens mobile app, or just upload a photo you’ve taken with your device. Later on, when you go to file your expenses, you don’t have to remember where you stored it, but instead can search for something that you remember about the expense, for example ‘sushi’ or a location.

We’re excited to bring you this new capability and would love to hear how you use it and what ideas you have to make the service better. Let us know in the comments, or submit new ideas to onedrive.uservoice.com.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of images can be made searchable?

There’s a great range with 21 different file formats including common ones such as “bmp”, “png”, “jpeg”, “jpg”, “gif”, “tif”, “tiff”, “raw”, and also “arw”, “cr2”, “crw”, “erf”, “mef”, “mrw”, “nef”, “nrw”, “orf”, “pef”, “rw2”, “rw1”, “sr2”.

What languages are supported?

Text extracted from an image is in the language captured from the image and is searchable in that language.

The detection of the image type right now is only English. For example, a receipt, business card whiteboard. In the future, we’ll automatically look at the language set on the SharePoint site that the image was uploaded to and translate the type into that language. In the case of OneDrive, we’ll translate it to the language you have set in your preferences.

What other features do you have planned?

We really want to connect your captures to workflows. The goal is to look at what the object is and take action based on it, via Flow or PowerApps, so we can help you move your work forward. We also will learn from patterns you have with types of objects – personalized learning, as part of the Microsoft Graph, to suggest actions and perform them automatically for you after the pattern is established.
